Education
Dr. Timothy G. Chiu grew up in the Chicago-land area, having graduated in 1989 from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois. He received his first Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1993. Dr. Chiu then completed his second Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 at the National College of Chiropractic as well as the Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1999. He is certified in Acupuncture as well as Applied Kinesiology during his postgraduate years with 350 + hours of continuing education. Dr. Chiu currently is involved in post-graduate studies related to use of cold laser which has helped people with allergy problems, expecially children who have. He also continues to do research on clinical nutrition, sports injuries, menstrual-related conditions, and auto accidents.

Scope of Practice
Dr. Chiu's training in the field of chiropractic medicine with a specialization in Applied Kinesiology as well as Acupuncture and Clinical Nutrition has allowed him to broaden his scope of practice. His practice first began with patients mainly with health problems related to joint pain, headaches, sports injuries, auto accidents, and spinal rehab. Now, patients are coming to see Dr. Chiu with health problems such as chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, allergies, skin problems, insomnia, weight problems, thyroid issues, and many more. More and more patients are frustrated with the overuse of drug medications and oftentimes, unnecessary surgical procedures which are not working and potentially may lead to further health issues. Dr. Chiu has given many patients the opportunity to find and restore optimal health through the use of natural, safe, and gentle approaches.

Philosophy
Dr. Timothy G. Chiu focuses on 3 main stresses on each patient: 1) Physical stress (lifting heavy objects, auto accident, working too many hours a week, lack of sleep, etc.); 2) Chemical stress (consuming dairy products, refined sugars, processed and preserved foods, alcohol, caffeine, drug medications, etc.); and 3) Psychological stress (financial burdens, loss a loved one, terrible boss, loss of a job, etc.). Dr. Chiu has found that by improving all 3 aspects of health especially done simultaneously one with another, patients are dramatically improved in their health condition. Clinical results are optimal usually when all three stresses are restored to a respectable level. However, Dr. Chiu has seen dramatic improvements occur after only one of the 3 stresses is corrected. He has observed numerous times where even one treatment in his office can prove to result in a miracle. Several patients will attest to this as can be found in the patient testimonial section of this website.

Dr. Titus Chiu
Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board
Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture

Personal History
Dr. Titus Chiu's dedication to offering society safe and natural alternatives to drugs and surgery was born out of his own personal experiences with natural medicine. Dr. Chiu was living and working overseas when he was involved in a very serious car accident that threw him ten feet through the air from his motorbike. He survived the accident- although not unscathed. The injuries he sustained- three broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder, and a sprained ankle- left him in constant pain and discomfort. Conventional medicine didn’t give him any relief and surgery was not a happy prospect. Unsure of what to do next, he traveled back to the United States to seek out the services of his brother, Dr. Timothy Chiu. To his amazement, after years of suffering he was finally pain free. Through this eye-opening chain of events, he not only discovered the healing power of chiropractic and natural medicine- he also discovered his life's passion and calling. From that point on he decided to dedicate his life to helping others find the same relief that he was fortunate enough to find.
